Terms of Service
An independent software business operated by Shakhzodbek Kakhkhorov Bakhrom ugli (Uzbekistan).
These terms govern your use of Cirth — hosted documentation for indie developers and small teams. They are written to be read, not to hide surprises. Effective October 19, 2026.
Who provides the service
Cirth is an independent software business operated by Shakhzodbek Kakhkhorov Bakhrom ugli (Uzbekistan). We work with Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record, who sells the paid plan, processes payments, and handles taxes and invoices. Questions about these terms: [email protected].
The service
Cirth hosts documentation websites. You write or import plain Markdown; Cirth renders it, keeps revision history, and serves the published pages on yourname.cirth.app or a custom domain you connect. Your Markdown remains the canonical source — you can export it at any time.
The service evolves. We may add, change, or remove features; when a change materially reduces what a paid plan can do, we’ll give reasonable advance notice.
Plans, limits, and pricing
Cirth has a Free plan and a paid Pro plan — $9.99/month or $99.99/year, in USD. What each plan includes, and the exact limits the platform enforces (sites, storage, history, domains, locales, imports), is shown on the Pricing page and, authoritatively, on the Billing page of your dashboard. Those limits — not marketing claims — are the contract’s numbers.
If we change prices, the new price applies from your next billing period, with reasonable advance notice.
Accounts and organizations
You sign in with an email address or your GitHub account. Your documentation lives in an organization that you administer; you are responsible for the activity of its members and for keeping your credentials safe. You must be at least 16 years old to use Cirth.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Cirth to host or distribute:
- unlawful content, or content that infringes others’ rights;
- malware, or content that attacks or probes systems without authorization;
- spam, phishing, or deceptive material;
- anything that puts unreasonable load on the platform (scraping at scale, abuse of quotas, automated flooding).
We may suspend an organization that breaks these rules, with notice where practical. Export your content before you go if you’re unsure an idea fits — your data is never a hostage.
Your content
Your documentation is yours. You grant us only the license needed to run the service: storing, rendering, caching, and serving your content, including the incidental copies that hosting requires. We don’t sell or advertise against your content. When you delete pages, uploads, or a site, the content is removed from the live service and purged from backups on the normal backup rotation. Page revision history is kept for the window your plan states (30 days on Free, 365 on Pro) and pruned after it.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid subscriptions are sold and billed by Polar (polar.sh) as our merchant of record: they process the payment, charge the applicable taxes, issue invoices, and operate the customer portal where you manage payment methods. We never see or store your full card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly or yearly, as you chose — until canceled. You can cancel at any time from the dashboard’s Billing page or the Polar customer portal; your plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, then the organization moves to the Free plan. When a free trial is offered, it converts into a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel first. After a payment, plan limits update automatically — usually within seconds, occasionally a few minutes.
Refunds
Refunds are handled case by case and always issued through Polar (polar.sh) — see the Refund Policy. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank; almost everything is faster to fix directly.
Availability and disclaimers
We run a lean stack on purpose and work hard to keep your docs fast and available, but Cirth is provided “as is” and “as available” — we don’t promise an uptime SLA or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it (or, for free-plan use, $100). Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Termination
You can stop using Cirth at any time — export your Markdown, delete your sites from the dashboard, and email us to close your organization and account. We may suspend or terminate an organization for acceptable-use violations or non-payment. When an organization ends, its sites stop serving and its content is deleted as described above.
Changes to these terms
We publish updated terms on this page with a new effective date. For material changes we’ll give reasonable advance notice (email or in the dashboard). Continuing to use Cirth after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If a consumer-protection rule that mandatorily applies in your country of residence conflicts with these terms, that rule wins.
