Privacy Policy
An independent software business operated by Shakhzodbek Kakhkhorov Bakhrom ugli (Uzbekistan).
Cirth hosts your documentation — this policy explains what we collect to do that, why, and who else touches it. The short version: we collect what the service needs to work, we don’t run ads or trackers, and your documents stay yours. Effective October 19, 2026.
Who is responsible
Cirth is an independent software business operated by Shakhzodbek Kakhkhorov Bakhrom ugli (Uzbekistan). For any privacy question or request: [email protected].
What we collect
- Account data — your email address (when you sign up by email) or the name, email, and account identifier your GitHub profile shares (when you sign in with GitHub).
- Your content — the pages, Markdown, uploaded images, site settings, and custom domains you add to your organizations.
- GitHub connection — if you connect GitHub for imports, we store the access token you grant so imports can read the repositories you choose. It’s used only for that, and it never leaves our servers to your browser.
- Billing data — handled by Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record. We receive the subscription facts the product needs (plan, status, period, a Polar customer id) — never your full payment-card details.
- Technical logs — standard request logs (address, user agent, timestamps) kept for security and abuse prevention.
We don’t run analytics or advertising trackers on this website or in the app, and the only cookies we set are the session cookies that keep you signed in. (If you add Google Analytics or Plausible to your own docs site, those tools run on your pages, under your settings.)
Why we process it
- to provide the service you signed up for (your content, your sites, your settings);
- to bill subscriptions and keep entitlements in sync (through Polar);
- to keep the platform secure and prevent abuse (security-driven legitimate interest);
- to comply with law, when asked.
Who else processes data
A small set of processors, each needed for a specific job: Polar (merchant of record — payments, taxes, the customer portal; their own privacy terms apply at checkout), Cloudflare (serves this website at the edge), our hosting provider (runs the application and database), and GitHub (sign-in and, if you connect it, imports). We don’t sell personal data, and there are no ad networks to sell it to.
How long we keep things
Your content lives as long as your organization does. Deleting pages, uploads, or a site removes them from the live service (and purges them from backups on the normal backup rotation). Page revision history older than your plan’s window (30 days on Free, 365 on Pro) is pruned automatically. Billing records are retained as tax and accounting rules require. Log data is kept only for a bounded period for security purposes.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Export needs no request from us: your documentation is canonical Markdown and available to you in the dashboard at any time. For anything else — a copy of your account data, a correction, or full deletion — email [email protected] from your account address and we’ll take care of it. If you’re in a region with a data-protection authority, you can also raise a complaint there; we’d rather fix it first.
Where data lives
The service runs on hosting infrastructure that may be outside your country, and processors like Polar and Cloudflare operate globally. Where transfers require specific safeguards, we rely on the safeguards our processors put in place. See also the Terms of Service.
Children
Cirth isn’t directed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has an account, tell us and we’ll remove it.
Changes to this policy
Material changes are published on this page with a new effective date — and announced in the dashboard when they matter.
